BPMN – Business Process Modeling Notation

Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) is a standard for business process modeling.  It provides a graphical notation for specifying business processes in a Business Process Diagram (BPD).

The primary goal of BPMN is to provide a standard notation that is readily understandable by all business stakeholders. These business stakeholders include business analysts who create and refine the processes, technical developers responsible for implementing the processes, and business managers who monitor and manage the processes. Consequently, BPMN is intended to serve as common language to bridge the communication gap that frequently occurs between business process design and implementation.

iGrafx® FlowCharter®, iGrafx® Process™ oriGrafx® Process™ for Six Sigma provides full support for key BPMN components including flow objects, connecting objects, swimlanes, pools and artifacts.

  • Correct by construction design reduces model development time and ensures accurate BPMN diagrams.
  • Supports BPMN 2.0
  • Easily convert existing swimlane® process maps into BPMN format. This unique feature ensures that the vast library of existing iGrafx process maps can be leveraged for a rapid adoption of the standard resulting in a significant ROI and time-to-deployment advantage.
  • iGrafx® Process and iGrafx® Process for Six Sigma you can simulate BPMN models to ensure that your models are optimized prior to deployment in an execution environment.
